Testimonials
Blackwood High School had SASMA deliver a Sports Taping Course and a tailored Concussion Education Session to our year 9, 10 and 11 Football and Netball Students in Term 2.
These workshops were a fantastic introduction for over 100 students, learning important information on injuries and management. The information delivered to these students is beneficial in both their sporting pursuits and as they begin to navigate their career pathways.
I would recommend any other school/sporting club to use SASMA to run sessions on taping, concussion and injury management and will continue to run similar workshops again with next year’s cohort and beyond”.
“The course was very beneficial to senior students at Roma Mitchell Secondary College (RMSC) as they were able to apply the knowledge they learnt within class by volunteering at a sporting club. Many of RMSC students are disadvantaged and without this opportunity and experience some students would miss pursuing an area they may be interested in. The opportunity the students now have has created a pathway into employment after completing the course means they are now able to support the needs of the community at grass roots level to elite sport. Students’ wellbeing has developed as they have grown in confidence in applying knowledge in sporting injuries in sports, they are passionate about.
RMSC are very thankful to SASMA, even through COVID we were still able to deliver theory and practical components of the level 1 sports trainers’ course to our students.
