SASMA delivers a strong evidence-based education program, for both the general sporting and recreation community and sports medicine professionals.

All courses build capacity to support a safe sport and active environment.   

The community programs are designed to build confidence on the sidelines and keep players safe and active.

The professional education program supports those studying or working in the Sports Medicine industry by providing up to date specialist knowledge.

Sports Trainer Level 1 & 2

Play a pivotal role for your sport. Learn injury prevention and management principles, wound care, soft/hard tissue injuries, concussion, spinal injuries, and much more when you become a sports trainer.

Community Concussion

Gain an understanding on concussion in community sport, recognise the signs and symptoms, removal of the injured player from field and more.

Annual Sports Medicine Conference

Join the wider Sports and Recreation industry for a day of networking and education, including keynote addresses, practical workshops, for professionals and the wider sporting community.

Sports Medicine in General Practice

This 3.5 day course is targeted at improving GP’s examination, diagnostic and management skills in the area of musculoskeletal and sports medicine.

School Programs

Practical sports injury prevention and management workshops tailored to school students, teachers and parents. These workshops can be integrated into the HPE curriculum, sport specialist program or flexible learning options.
