Reaccreditation
Sports Trainer Reaccreditation
Sports Medicine is an ever-changing science and the ways in which we manage injuries is constantly changing, it is necessary for Sports Trainers to continually learn and keep their skills up to date.
Accredited Sports Trainers are required to attend education sessions over the three years of their current accreditation to demonstrate they are keeping up to date with the latest techniques, methods and knowledge. Every three years trainers are required to show proof of courses they have attended, totalling six professional development points for Level 1 trainers and eight points for Level 2 trainers. For example, the SASMA full day course attracts three points, an education events two points and short online education one point.
Below are a range of courses run by SASMA and partner organisations. These are suitable for further education and anyone with an interest in sports training, sports science and sports medicine. The workshops are targeted at people involved in sport at all levels. Please remember to save your certificates and also upload them to your membership portal.
